About the Role
Medical Laboratory Services (MLS) is dedicated to maintaining operational excellence and efficiency across all departments. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing daily procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential to our operations.
You will play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating supplier relations, and ensuring that purchasing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations
- Process and follow up on purchase requests from internal departments.
- Request, review, and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
- Ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of pricing agreements and purchase terms.
- Monitor key procurement factors, including quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Inventory and Data Management
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date warehouse inventory lists.
- Ensure accurate and consistent tracking of inventory data within the system.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to support continuous operations.
- Oversee the procurement and management of office supplies.
Coordination and Reporting
- Coordinate the purchasing process from request to delivery, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to align purchasing needs with operational requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Report purchasing activities and updates directly to management.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBO+/HBO (Associate/Bachelor’s level) education, preferably in logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven administrative and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience with procurement systems and inventory management is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with various departments.
