Naam bepaling: Aspartaat-aminotransferase (ASAT) Eenheid: U/l Referentiewaarden: m: < 35 U/lv: < 31 U/l Klinische betekenis: ASAT is een enzym dat voorkomt in zowel het cytoplasma als de mitochondriÃ«n van cellen van de lever, het hart, de nieren en de skeletspieren. Bij beschadiging van de genoemde cellen komt in eerste instantie het cytoplasmatische ASAT vrij. Bij ernstige of chronische beschadigingen komt ook het mitochondriÃ«le ASAT in het bloed en neemt de ASAT activiteit extra toe. Een verhoogde waarde van ASAT-activiteit vinden we bij: hepatitis, levercirrose, longembolie, trauma aan skeletspieren en na een hartinfarct. De hoogte van de activiteit is een maat voor de ernst van de aandoening. Ingangsdatum: Cobas 6000, Kal. 2000/Aspartaat aminotransferase conform IFCC, 37Â°C, Tris zonder Pyridoxine fosfaat activatie.
